Presentation of the $1000 Super Recyclers Grant

The Super Recyclers, proud to support green and committed initiatives in schools, award the $1,000 grant to École de la Renaissance

All schools participating in a Super Recyclers clothing drive had until April 1, 2019, to propose a project that was either ecological or socially responsible to present their project with a short video before May 19, 2019. A committee including members of the HUMAGO Foundation reviewed the videos received and voted to donate $1,000 to the school that best met the selection criteria: École de la Renaissance de Blainville.

To reduce waste at École de la Renaissance, a Green Committee was created for the year 2018-19 to raise young people’s awareness of the environment and encourage them to take small ecological actions. The funds will be used to purchase a dishwasher to avoid the use of plastic in the cafeteria at lunchtime. The school encourages environmentally friendly lunch boxes and plans zero-waste days.

The Super Recyclers are proud to present the 2018-19 grant to this committed school. Congratulations to the Green Committee!
